  • Why was AdviceMarket established?

    We started AdviceMarket to make advice accessible to everyone. We’ve seen firsthand what a significant difference tailored advice can make to people’s lives. Because good advice is personal we decided to showcase the individuals we believe care most for their clients. In the process we also aim to restore confidence in the advice industry in general.

  • Why AdviceMarket?

    - Most people rely on family and friends to refer an Advisor but because advice is personal they may not be the most appropriate for your circumstances.

    - AdviceMarket is a new and innovative way for you to take control and find an Advisor that suits your personality and values.

    - Because there is ambiguity amongst advice professionals how do you know what type of advisor you need? In some cases it’s easy, for instance, if you need to buy a house then you need a Property advisor. However, other needs are more complex like - if you came into an inheritance do you go and see an accountant, a financial advisor or a lawyer? The answer may be one or all of them - that’s where AdviceMarket can help.

    - With AdviceMarket, you can find the advice you need in just a few clicks. It’s Smart. Simple. Secure. Free.

    An advisor has to apply to join our community. This means they have gone through a screening and evaluation process to ensure that they are a reputable, experienced and a credible advice provider.

    AdviceMarket confirms;

    1. their identity

    2. their profession

    3. their not bankrupt, banned or disqualified from providing advice

    This is when you have chosen only one specific Advisor to pitch for your brief on the strength of their profile. Your brief will be sent directly to them and no-one else.

  • How long will it take for an Advisor to contact me?

    An Advisor should contact you within 48hours (or sooner) from when you submit your brief. After this point how long the process takes will be determined by how long you take to review and approve the request responses you receive.
